One of the more creative and productive events for a photographer can be preparing for an exhibit. The creative decisions made about what to leave in and what to leave out all contribute to achieving your vision represented by the photograph that will be hung on the wall. I enjoy the process and the chance to support a local art association. One of my favorites is the Conanicut Island Art Association in Jamestown, RI - a small island that is located near Newport, but miles away in culture and vibe. Their 44th Annual Summer Members Show begins Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 at 6pm with an opening reception in the Jamestown Community Center (41 Canonicus Avenue, Jamestown, RI).
This year, I submitted three framed prints, as well as a number of matted prints ready to be put into the frame of your choice.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see, admire, and purchase affordable art from local artists. The exhibit runs through Sunday, July 29th, 2018 and will be open every day from 10am until 4pm. I encourage you to stop in and see the paintings, graphics, photographs, and sculptures by contemporary artists.
I look forward to seeing you there,
